Acadec Center for Dentistry (ACTA), Amsterdam

The new building for ACTA is located on the Zuidas and is well visible from the A10. The building has a tough city block as low-rise construction and floating above a volume containing the laboratories. A large cantilever shelters the area in front of the main entrance. The large spans offer much flexibility in use and layout possibilities of the building.
A special construction part is the large cantilever of the superstructure. One storey high half-timbered structures, which have been integrated into the architectural design, enable this.
The building contains a large Congress Hall and a central public area (Atrium). The building also houses offices, education, laboratories, horeca and conference and public areas. Underneath and partially adjacent to the superstructure, a public double parking garage has been built.
